When data transfer from the A-bus to the B-bus is desired, A-bus data should be loaded, the A-side enable (A-G) should be taken low and kept low while the B-side enable (B-G) should be taken low and held there long enough to transfer the data. The data should remain valid on the B-side outputs until the B-side enable (B-G) is taken high. The B-bus data is retained as long as the A-side enable (A-G) is low. When data transfer from B-bus to the A-bus is desired, A-side enable (A-G) should be taken low and held there long enough to transfer the data from the B-bus to the A-bus. The data should remain valid on the A-side outputs until the A-side enable (A-G) is taken high. The A-bus data is retained as long as the B-side enable (B-G) is low.
