Ti SN74CBT16212AGQLR is a 16-to-2 bit low voltage differential signaling (LVDS) switch with differential outputs. It can be used to direct digital data between two data buses without any noticeable loss. It is widely used in communication systems, media interfaces, and data transmission networks. The SN74CBT16212AGQLR is operated using a single-ended TTL-compatible logic. It operates from a single +2.3 V to +3.6 V power supply, with a maximum power dissipation of 333 mW at +3.3 V. The SN74CBT16212AGQLR provides 16 differential inputs (IN1-IN16) that each accept voltage levels from 0.4 V below to 1.4 V above the voltage at the VCCLVDS+ pin. These inputs are closely matched to the LVDS input levels used in many modern high-speed applications. The SN74CBT16212AGQLR supports data rates up to 1000 Mbps.

The control logic of the SN74CBT16212AGQLR is fully compatible with TTL logic levels. Only one of the two logic control input (SEL1, SEL2) needs to be used to select the desired switching path between the data inputs and outputs. Acknowledgement (ACK) logic output is also provided to indicate when the switching path is active. The ACK logic output is compatible with open collector/drain devices, and also with LVDS and LVPECL outputs. A built-in open drain output is also provided that allows the user to enable/disable the switch up to 1000 Mbps.
