All of these devices can simplify a digital system\'s design and implementation, but one particular integrated circuit, the SN74CBT3126PWRG4, provides designers a combination of switching, multiplexing, and decoding functions. The SN74CBT3126PWRG4 is a wide-range CMOS multiplexer/decoder with 3-state outputs. It has two 16-bit two-way data sources that can be demultiplexed into two 16 outputs and is controlled by four lines of control, the most significant being the Mode Select (MSEL) line which dictates the type of operation. When the enable input is set to a LOW level, the data sources are demultiplexed and the enable input ensures that both of the data sources are present before any output is generated.
