Working Principle

The SN74CBT3306CD is a high-speed 8-to-1 multiplexer with latch. It is composed of eight data inputs and one latch signal. Data is transferred from the 8 data inputs to the single output depending on the value of the latch signal.

When the latch signal is high, data is transferred from the data input. When the signal is low, the data remains unchanged. Data is transferred quickly, with a typical propagation delay of 4.8 ns, allowing the device to operate at 1310 MHz.
