The SN74CBT6800ADBQR is a member of Texas Instruments\' Signetics bipolar family of Logic - Signal Switches, Multiplexers, Decoders. The device is a dual 4-line to 1 line or 8-line to 1-line multiplexer/demultiplexer with non-inverting enable, providing two 4-line-to-1-line or 8-line-to-1-line multiplexing capability. This device provides two 4-bit multiplexers/demultiplexers with two control inputs. When the control inputs, E0 and E1, are within a voltage range of 0 V to 0.7 V, the device is enabled and data passes from terminals I0 to O0, or from terminals I4 to O4. When E0 and E1 are at logic 1, the device is disabled, placing all outputs in the high impedance (high-Z) state independent of the levels at the input terminals.

The SN74CBT6800ADBQR multiplexer/demultiplexer has two enable inputs, E0 and E1, which control when the channel is open: E0 and E1 low enable channel 0 and E0 and E1 high enable channel 4. The enable inputs have Schmitt Trigger inputs and are CMOS-compatible, allowing one TTL input with the other CMOS-compatible without the use of external pullup or pulldown resistors. The output enable pins NI0 and NI4 can be used either to drive a "pull-up" resistor for active-low operation or as an open-collector/drain output for active-high operation. Output enable pins NI0 and NI4 are internally connected to the enable inputs, E0 and E1. The outputs are level-sensitive with symmetrical output characteristics, providing fast switching with 7 ns propagation delays.

The SN74CBT6800ADBQR multiplexer/demultiplexer is compatible with the SSTL-2 logic levels and offers low output off-state leakage currents. It supports single-ended read operation and can be used as a memory address decoder in static RAM applications. The device is available in a 20-pin thin small-outline package (TSOP) and has an operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
