SN74HC688DWG4 is a high-performance logic device that can be used to compare and evaluate logic signals. It is part of the SN74HC family of logic components and is designed with an advanced metallization process that can reduce on-resistance, leakage and power consumption while improving propagation delays and noise immunity. The SN74HC688DWG4 is a 8-bit comparator with four independent 2-bit comparators and an active low output on pin 11 (OU T). Comparator A/B pairs can be connected directly to the digital logic lines, or connected in series to measure the speed of digital signals. The SN74HC688DWG4 operates by comparing the state of the digital logic line to its reference voltage. The output is high (5V) when the digital logic line is lower than the reference voltage, and low (0V) when the digital logic line is higher than the reference voltage.
