The SN74HCT573PWRG4 is a 32-bit D-type flip-flop with serial enable. It belongs to the family of logic latches, a type of digital switch in which one or more inputs decide which of two output states is obtained. A single switch with two positions is known as a binary digit, or bit. Unlike other logic families, logic latches have the ability to remember their state, even when the power is removed. This is the most significant characteristic of a latch.Designed for use in applications that require an extended operating temperature range and slow power dissipation, the SN74HCT573PWRG4 is suitable for use in both high performance and extended temperature environments. It features an input voltage range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V, and it is internally powered by two independent supplies, connected internally between pins 1 and 2 and pins 15 and 16. It also allows the contents of one flip-flop to be copied to another, such that both flip-flops switch states simultaneously.When the clock signal (CLK) goes from LOW to HIGH, the input data signal is sampled and stored on the falling edge of the preceding clock cycle. The Storage Enable signal (SE) is used to enable storage on all latches simultaneously, and ensures that no changes are made when it is low. The Data Quality signal (DQ) is used to indicate that the latch has received valid data since the positive clock transition.The SN74HCT573PWRG4 is available in the P-DSO-22 package, which is a lead plastic surface mount, and allows for an improved power/ground and signal routing. The package is constructed with plastic mold compound and gold flake, and is compatible with both lead-free and traditional soldering processes.The SN74HCT573PWRG4 has many applications, such as in DVRs, multiplexers, data collection systems, load controllers, logic gate memory and various other embedded applications.
