The SN74LVC157ADE4 is an integrated circuit which is classified under Logic – Signal Switches, Multiplexers, Decoders. This device is a dual 4-input multiplexer which is designed to operate at 1.65 to 5.5V VCC. It has two independent multiplexers with four 1-bit inputs and one common select pin each. The switching feature of this device is controlled via the four dedicated select pins which select which one of the four inputs is allotted to the output when the Enable input (EN) is high. This device has an active low enable feature which allows multiplexers to be cascaded in order to select up to 16 inputs. The low power CPD of this device, 199nW ensures that no extra power is lost during operations and therefore does not require additional power sources.

The operating frequency of SN74LVC157ADE4 is 10MHz which is sufficient for most applications and it is also highly suitable for a wide range bus electrical applications.
