SOL2B3 application field and working principle

Pneumatics

Pneumatic systems use pressurized air to transfer energy from a pressurized source to a periphery. The solenoid valve, or SOL2B3 is a type of electric valve used in many pneumatic applications. These pneumatically operated valves are most commonly used to control the air-flow, pressure, and direction in air systems. They are typically used to start and stop air flow in pneumatic systems while also providing an option to seal off air flow, increase or decrease air flow, or direct air from one port to another.The inner-workings of a solenoid valve are straightforward. A valve body houses a spring-loaded valve stem and contains one or more solenoids, depending on the application. The spring is designed to keep the valve stem closed to prevent air from escaping the valve body. These valves provide a high degree of reliability, are easy to install, can handle very high pressure (up to 10,000 psi), and can be operated remotely with minimal energy consumption. Although they are more expensive than other types of valves, they are worth the cost due to their reliability and ease of use. SOL2B3 valves provide an efficient, reliable, and cost-effective control solution for many hydraulic applications.
