SP3082EEN-L/TR is the new series of high performance Interface Drivers, Receivers, Transceivers from Sunplus Company. This small package package device, with a wide range of applications, is designed to provide a solution for many of today’s most demanding applications.

The SP3082EEN-L/TR is a highly integrated device with multiple capabilities, such as an integrated oscillator and logic level shifter, that provides a comprehensive solution for data communication interfaces. The applications for the device include; Serial ATA, Serial ATA II, Serial Digital Interface, PCI Express, USB 3.0, Canbus and CANopen, SPI, and I2C.

The SP3082EEN-L/TR provides three high-speed signalling channels, each of which consists of a Driver and a Receiver. These Receiver can handle up to 12.8 Gbps data rate and the Driver can handle up to 8.5 Gbps data rate. Multiplexing of the data lines is achieved through the selection of the appropriate multiplexing position.

The SP3082EEN-L/TR is also equipped with an integrated logic level shifter that provides the ability to interface between the physical layer ICs (PHYs) and the logic level systems. The shifter can adjust the common-mode voltage for the two data lines for proper signal matching and will shift the voltage level from the 0.95 V to the 3.4 V range. This allows for a seamless integration of the two PHY tables.
