Introduction

Working Principle

The working principle of the SP6669EB is based on the principle of buck-boost converter topology. When a DC voltage is applied to the input, the SP6669EB converter adjusts the input voltage by step-down (buck) or step-up (boost) depending on the desired output voltage value. The SP6669EB works on pulse-width modulated (PWM) control technology. In PWM, a square wave signal of the desired frequency is applied to a power switch that drives the inductor. When the output voltage drops due to load fluctuations, the PWM control increases the Duty Cycle of the square wave signal and sends more inductor current back to the output capacitor.
