The SPC560PKIT64S is a low-cost, manufacturer-tested and user-friendly graphical evaluation board for the SPC560P family of microcontrollers. It has been designed to give engineers a starting point for learning and developing applications with the SPC560P family of microcontrollers. The board contains an integrated SPC560P20 device, which is a 32-bit microcontroller powered by dual ARM Cortex-A5 cores and optimized digital signal processor (DSP) peripherals. The onboard hardware allows for a numerous wide variety of embedded applications to be created, including motor control, home appliance control, digital audio, imaging, industrial automation, and safety.

The SPC560PKIT64S board is an OpenSDA based development kit and it also includes the MCU/DSP Library with standard libraries to helps engineers, especially beginners, to quickly develop applications using the SPC560P family of microcontrollers. The library contains a rich set of peripheral drivers, including power management, system timer, parallel port I/O, serial port I/O, input capture, analog-to-digital converter (ADC) interrupts, digital-to-analog converter (DAC) interrupts, and more that can be used to develop applications with the SPC560P family.

The SPC560PKIT64S board is based on JTAG-based emulation and debug technology, which is integrated into the onboard OpenSDA USB-based bootloader. The debug adapter allows debugging on the board in real-time without the need to use an external computer or monitor. All code debugging such as single stepping and breakpoints is achieved on the board itself.
