Working Principle

The SR4D4021 is a switched contact, AC or DC powered relay. It uses a simple two-wire system to complete the circuit and rotate a switch. The relay has four contacts, two normally open (NO) and two normally closed (NC). When the power is applied through the relay, the switch blades close and provide an electrical connection between the NO and NC contacts. When the power is removed, the blades open and the NC and NO contacts are no longer connected.

In addition to its switching capability, the SR4D4021 has dual diode protection to reduce potentially damaging electrical transients. The diode protection helps to protect the contacts from contact welding and arc over. It also helps to minimize EMI (electromagnetic interference) and helps to ensure reliable operation.
