The SRAF1050 C0G is an epitaxial construction silicon rectifier diode, specially designed for high frequency switching applications in the commercial and industrial field. It features low forward voltage drop, low reverse leakage and low thermal resistance.

Application Field

The SRAF1050 C0G is widely used in switching power supplies, converters, noise suppressors, voltage multipliers, inverters, light dimming circuits and bridge type rectifiers. These diodes are highly suitable for DC - DC converters, peak current than average current applications and other similar applications which require high efficiency and low dissipation.

Working Principle

The SRAF1050 C0G is designed to convert three different modes of operation into power conversion. Rectification is the process of converting alternating current (AC) into direct current (DC). This is achieved by the diode conducting when forward biased, while blocking current in the reverse direction.

The SRAF1050 C0G also performs the process of switching, which is the process of turning a circuit on or off, typically with the help of transistors. This allows manufacturers to switch the circuit on or off at a high rate of frequency.
