SS2FH6-M3/I is a single, fast-switching diode rectifier manufactured by TO-220 come in staggered pin package. As a general purpose diode, its application field includes high frequencies like switching modes, power supplies, etc. Also, low voltage, high current circuits that involve high peak current and heavy reverse voltage.

The working principle of SS2FH6-M3/I is based on the rectification of the alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC) by allowing flow of current through diodes in one direction only. When a DC voltage is applied to the diode, the diode allows current to flow through it, also known as forward bias. Whereas with an alternating voltage applied, the semiconductor material in the diode switches the current to flow in one direction only. Hence the process of AC to DC conversion is referred as rectification.
