Single-phase semiconductor rectifiers, also known as SS33, are commonly used in AC-DC power conversion applications. This causes the diode connected to the negative terminal to conduct, allowing the current to flow from the load resistor, back to the negative terminal, and thus completing the circuit and creating a DC output.
