Common Mode Chokes are parts used in many electronic products to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI). The SS35V-35047 is a type of common mode choke designed to reduce interference in very high frequency (VHF) applications, such as television receivers or other consumer electronics products. This choke can help to ensure that the product is compliant with FCC and European standards, and also helps to reduce power line disturbances that can lead to poor reception.

The SS35V-35047 is made up of two windings, a primary winding and a secondary winding. The two windings are connected together in series, with the center connections of the two windings also connected. The primary winding is connected to the power line, allowing current to flow through the windings. The secondary winding is connected to the load and allows the current to flow unaffected through the windings, while the choke blocks the stray current from the primary winding.

When there is an alternate current (AC voltage) on the power line, a voltage is created in the windings of the common mode choke. This voltage generates a magnetic field which, in turn, induces a current flow in the secondary winding. This caused current flow creates an opposite magnetic field in the secondary winding which cancels out the interference in the primary winding, reducing the amount of noise that is generated on the power line.

The working principle of the SS35V-35047 can be seen in the diagram below. The primary winding (A) is connected to the power line, and the secondary winding (B) is connected to the load. When an AC voltage is applied to the primary winding, it creates a magnetic field in the windings. This induces a current to flow in the secondary winding, creating an opposite magnetic field which reduces or cancels out the interference in the primary winding. The choke also acts as an impedance, blocking stray currents that can cause interference in the power line.
