SSCDRNN015PAAA5 is an advanced pressure sensor which employs a piezoresistive semiconductor chip. It is a high performance and compact pressure transducer which can be used to meaure and record accurate pressure levels. The sensor is widely used for industrial and medical applications such as aviation, underwater, automotive, refrigeration, hydraulic systems, medical and electrical equipment as well as other measurement related activities. A pressure transducer typically consists of four main components including the diaphragm, sensing elements, the electrical housing and the output signal processor. The diaphragm is the main part of the sensor which is subjected to the pressure level to be measured. It is usually made of a metal or ceramic material, depending on the application.The sensing elements are the next component in the pressure transducer. They are usually semiconductor chips which measure the pressure level by using thermal or piezoresistive elements. These elements are highly sensitive and can measure even small pressure changes. The electrical housing of the pressure transducer is made up of two parts, the internal electronics and the external housing. The internal electronics consist of the sensing elements, signal processor and the small electric transformer that processes the signal to the output signal processor. The external housing protects the internal electronics from physical damage and also provides a reliable connection to the output signal processor.The output signal processor of the pressure transducer is used to convert the electrical signal from the sensing elements into a readable signal to be used by the application. The output signal processor is usually an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) or digital signal processor (DSP). The ADC is used to convert the analog signals from the sensing elements into digital data which is then processed by the DSP.
