ST3485EIYDT is an advanced, low power, galvanically isolated, 4-channel, full-duplex transceiver which combines a serial interface link controller, forward error correction engine, 3.3 V to 5 V transformer-coupled transceivers, a 5 V power supply regulator, and a 5 V power supply for providing power for digital I/Os. This transceiver is designed for digital communication in industrial, automotive, and medical applications.

This device is suitable for applications that require robust digital communication such as high temperature and extended voltage range systems. It also integrates an integrated DC-DC converter to provide an external 5 V supply for device power supply and additional 3.3 V downstream operation of digital I/Os.

The working principle of ST3485EIYDT is based on the use of galvanic isolation technology. This technology provides effective separation between two systems that are connected by the device.
