The ST7538Q is a low-power octal line/quad-line LCD driver/receiver/transceiver, ideal for a variety of applications. It features an integrated 3.3V or 2.5V regulator for powering an LCD. It is capable of driving up to eight columns in parallel and four rows in series, or up to four columns in parallel and eight rows in series.
This makes it an ideal choice for LCDs with a dual or quad column architecture, such as most modern alphanumeric LCDs. It can also be used with seven-segment or dot matrix displays.
