The STCS1DEMO1 evaluation board is a LED driver application device with multiple functionalities. It is an integrated solution for LED applications requiring eye-level headroom, as well as wider performance/savings/flexibility compared to traditional LED drivers. Compatible with industry standard LED drivers, the STCS1DEMO1 features high efficiency, wide voltage range, dynamic power limiting, programmable illumination and ESD protection.

The STCS1DEMO1 features several operating modes, providing plenty of flexibility to application and system designers. The device has two high voltage buck-boost mode and one low voltage buck-boost mode wherein it can automatically switch between buck and boost according to the input voltage. The STCS1DEMO1 can also be configured for power-over-LED (P-LED) and dual-supply module (DSP) operations.

The STCS1DEMO1 can be configured and programmed using a single-pin I2C serial interface. The device has two sets of factory-programmed parameters for quick user setup. The unique programming interface ensures uniformity and flexibility for different operation modes and user settings.
