STM32439I-EVAL2

The STM32439I-EVAL2 (evaluation board) is a microcontroller (MCU eval board) targeted at evaluation and developing applications and projects based on the STM32F439 devices. It introduces some of the features of the STM32F439 family and provides the basic capabilities to start building projects.

The STM32439I-EVAL2 features a STM32F439IG microcontroller with a core operating at up to 180 Mhz and 1024KBytes of Flash memory. Furthermore, this evaluation board provides some essential peripherals (in this case digital audio interfaces) to make it interoperable with several external devices.

Working Principle

The STM32439I-EVAL2 board is powered by the STM32F439xx microcontroller. The microcontroller is based on the ARM Cortex-M4 core with floating point unit and operates at frequencies of up to 180 Mhz. This microcontroller also features a base set of peripherals such as GPIO, SPI, I2C, UART, and PWM.

The evaluation kit offers several on-board peripherals to offer a useful, scalar user experience. It includes green and red LEDs for indicator lights, a scroll wheel, touch panel, as well as a graphical LCD display. There are also connectors for communication with external systems and devices.

It also comes with several debugging and programming tools including ST-Link, UART, JTAG and ARM-Prog for software development and testing. In addition, the board offers other peripherals including SPI, I2C, CAN as well as various digital audio interfaces such as I2S, SPDIF, DSD and more.
