The STM8AL318ATCY is based on the STM8A CPU core with an 8-Kbyte ROM, 1-Kbyte ROM that supports application code, and a 1-Kbyte RAM. It has a wide range of peripherals including two I²C standard interfaces, one SPI standard interface, two timer/counter blocks, two 16-bit free running watchdogs, a 12-bit RTC with alarm, five 16-bit and three 8-bit timers, one full-duplex UART and a PWM generator.
The STM8AL318ATCY supports many peripheral functions including General-Purpose Input/Outputs (GPIOs), Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC), Direct Memory Access (DMA), serial communication Interface (SCI), Inter-Integrated Circuit (I²C) and SPI interfaces, timer/counters, pulse-width modulation (PWM) generator, and Full-duplex UART with Hardware Flow Control. It is also equipped with three dedicated interrupts, four analog comparators and an integrated on-chip real time clock (RTC) with alarm.
