The STTH802CT is a rectifier array in the range of diodes produced by ST Microelectronics. Produced from high-speed switching diode chips, the rectifier array provides a low forward voltage drop, ultra-fast reverse recovery and high forward surge current capability. Working Principle

The STTH802CT rectifier array uses a double diode structure to allow current to flow in both directions. It consists of two high-speed switching diode chips mounted in one package, with integrated normal temperature sensing and high-current surge protection.The forward voltage drop is low, and the reverse leakage current is low even at high temperatures.The surge current capability of up to 8 Amps makes it suitable for instantaneous high-current applications.The low forward voltage drop and fast reverse recovery time also help to reduce energy losses and improve system efficiency.

The device also provides various protections such as over temperature protection (OTP), current balancing and pulse by pulse current limitation. Normal temperature sensing is provided which enables fast response to temperature changes.The current balance feature allows current to be shared between the two diodes at turn-on and turn-off, improving the system\'s overall power dissipation and thermal efficiency.The pulse by pulse current limitation helps protect against short-circuit.
