Working Principle

SU1D03AC is a silicon control rectifier(SCR) with three rectifying elements, which is composed of N-type and P-type material of silicon controlled device. When the gate triggering voltage is applied, it causes a turn-on state. It also can run in reverse blocking mode when the gate triggering voltage is removed.

A basic SCR has the features of bidirectional conduction, high-speed switch, high input impedance, low output impedance and high normalized gate current requirement.
