Transient Voltage Suppressor, commonly known as TVSs, are diodes that are designed for transient protection applications. Common applications include protection against overvoltage, reverse polarity and ESD (electrostatic discharge). TVS diodes protect many types of low voltage applications such as power supplies, data lines and low voltage circuits. The SZ1.5SMC62AT3G is a multi-line transient suppressor device which has a maximum clamping voltage of 62V. It is made of silicon and has a non-conductive film. It comes in a plastic mini-mold flat package and is rated for a maximum peak pulse current of 5.2A.
