TVS-Diodes offer protection for sensitive circuits from potentially damaging electrical transients. These types of transient voltage suppression (TVS) devices are designed to protect wires, connectors, and other electrical/electronic components by diverting transient voltages away from these components. The SZ1SMA26CAT3G device is a transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode designed to protect circuits from over-voltage conditions caused by Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and electrical fast transients (EFT).The SZ1SMA26CAT3G has a breakdown voltage (BV) of 26 volts and a peak pulse power rating of 600 watts. This series is capable of handling peak power levels that are up to 20 times higher than other TVS diodes. Additionally, this device features a maximum peak surge current rating of 36A. The SZ1SMA26CAT3G utilizes a planar dual junction design to provide unbeatable protection from some of the most extreme electrostatic discharge. This is accomplished by the SZ1SMA26CAT3G device’s built-in ESD protection circuits be able to dissipate ESD energy quickly, while preserving the integriy of the protected equipment.The typical application of the SZ1SMA26CAT3G can be found in electronic devices such as Aerospace, communications, medical, automotive, oil and gas, and the industrial automation industry. These industries have a high risk of potentially damaging ESD incidents, therefore depend upon products such as the SZ1SMA26CAT3G with its superior protection and high performance to keep their protected devices safe.
