Application field
The T635T-8FP is widely used in AC power systems such as three-phase and single-phase power sources, distributed generation systems, uninterruptible power systems, regulators and so on. It can be used in various driving motor control applications such 120V motor speed control, 360V motor control and adjustable speed motor drive, as well as in power heating control and power circuit dimming scenarios.
Working principle
The T635T-8FP module is based on a four-quadrant, single-phase phase-controlled SCR structure. It consists of two SCRs connected in an anti-parallel configuration. The module has two main control signals, namely the AC phase control signal and the DC gate control signal. The AC phase control signal determines the firing angle at which the module is switched on while the DC gate control signal actuates the SCR by applying a voltage to its gate terminal to form an electric bridge.
In an AC power system, the SCR is triggered when the phase control signal is delivered to the anode side of the SCR. The electric-bridge formed by the SCR, once triggered, ensures the passage of current to the AC load. On the other hand, the DC gate control signal controls the initiation and termination of conduction path of the electric bridge.
