Power Relays, Over 2 Amps: T9GV1L14-12 Application Field and Working Principle
Power relays are one of the most important component in electronic engineering, among them, those with power rating over 2 Amps, especially those of series T9GV1L14-12, are widely applied in areas related to communications, HVAC and PLC control.
A T9GV1L14-12 Power relay, among all other relays, has several common features. It has a load switching capacity of 8 Amps, withstand voltage at 1500VAC, a switching time between contact close and open as less as 5ms. This type of relay uses UL class F coils, has a sufficient carrying current of 5.2A or 7.7A, and an operating temperature between -30°C and 80°C.
The working principle of the T9GV1L14-12 power relay is based on the electro-mechanical characteristic of the coil. When electric current passes through this relay coil, the coil will generate magnetic field, and attract armature. As the armature move in the magnetic field, it makes contact plugged and then load activated.
