Working Principles

The TAJP106K010RNJ utilizes a hybrid anodic film that is formed on the anode, providing a high capacitance-to-volume ratio and maximum power density. Under normal operation, when a voltage is impressed on the capacitor, a pseudo-capacitance of the anode is created by the electron exchange between the anode and the electrolyte. This generates an alternating current which is then sent through the electrolyte and absorbed by the semiconductor film. This process is known as “charging” the capacitor.

When the voltage is removed from the capacitor, the electron exchange ceases and the capacitor returns to its initial state. This process is known as “discharging” the capacitor. The capacitor also features an internal temperature sensor to ensure that the device will operate at optimal temperatures even in extreme environments.
