Tantalum capacitors are ceramic dielectric capacitors constructed with the two plates separated by a thin dielectric layer of tantalum pentoxide. These capacitors are used in high frequency and low-loss signal applications such as audio signal filtering. The most frequently used tantalum capacitors are the TAP475M035FCS type.
