Tantalum capacitors are mainly used in electronic circuits and are constructed with a layer of tantalum pentoxide as an insulating dielectric medium between two layers of electrolytic material. The most common type of tantalum capacitor is the TAP476K010SCS, which features an anode that combines a single tantalum pellet, an anode lead, and a cathode lead.
