The TAS1020APFB is a high-speed, high-bandwidth, integrated interface controller that enables systems to interface easily, quickly and cost-effectively to host devices. This device is designed for use in a wide range of applications, including Set-Top-Box, DVD players, PC motherboards, storage devices, and medical instrumentation, as well as a range of embedded applications.
The TAS1020APFB integrates two high-speed Universal Serial Bus (USB 2.0) ports, one or two Serial ATA ports, and one Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) port. It is ideal for applications that demand high-speed and/or low cost system integration. The USB 2.0 ports operate at 480 Mbps and are fully compliant with USB 2.0\'s device and host protocols. The SATA ports provide a maximum burst rate of 150 Mbps. The SPI port is also capable of transfer rates of up to 43 Mbps.
The TAS1020APFB is a low-power device that typically consumes less than 0.5 watts in operation. It features on-chip power management, system thermal management, and robust grounding in order to ensure reliable performance. Protection functions include ESD, surge, overload and short-circuit protection. The device also incorporates four I/O digital pins for parameter memory locks and a flexible power-on-reset delay.
