Tantalum Capacitors

Tantalum capacitors, sometimes known as Ta-Caps, are an example of the capability of capacitor technology to enable new consumer electronic features. Polymer technology has revolutionized electronic circuitry by increasing reliability and decreasing size in consumer electronic equipment such as computers, cell phones and consumer electronics. The TBJB225K025CRSB0000 is a part of the high-performance family of metal oxide-based tantalum electrolytic capacitors developed with a tantalum metal layer and high-quality tungsten oxide as the dielectric with ultra-durable organic polymer surface. As such, it can handle an applied electrical field of up to 225V and 25% of its power rating of 25kJ at a safe working temperature of 75°C. Some of its applications include power supply bypassing or filtering, energy storage and as a power supply decoupling capacitor in computer systems, digital logic circuits and other communication devices.

The working principle of the TBJB225K025CRSB0000 is based on basic capacitor fundamentals. As the name implies, it is an electrolytic capacitor that stores energy in an electrochemical double-layer.
