Designed for use in a range of mobile applications and other battery-powered equipment, it can reduce board sizes and improves system performance. This device provides the appropriate levels of power sequencing and sequencing options for step-down/buck converters.Working in high-efficiency applications across medium, voltage, and load conditions, the TC1044SCOA is ideal for applications with input voltages up to 100V and output voltages as low as 0.8V. It also helps reduce the cost, size, and complexity of boards in applications with multiple DC/DC converters by using two supplies for multiple devices instead of having to provide one for each.The TC1044SCOA integratessynchronous rectifier MOSFETs capable of delivering up to 1A continuous current. It also provides programmable current limit, soft-start, powerok indicator, frequency synchronization, thermal shutdown, UVLO and other protection features.On-chip circuitry ensures that all components on the circuit board are properly turned on and off as required. This eliminates the need for a separate voltage regulator for each device and reduces power dissipation. Additionally, the TC1044SCOA provides a failsafe protection mode in the event of a short or an open circuit.TC1044SCOA is intended for use in power management in portable applications and handheld or embedded systems. With input voltages up to 100V, the step-down converter is used to provide a regulated output voltage that is lower than the input voltage. In addition, the step-down buck converter can be configured to produce a regulated output voltage lower than the input voltage, with a either a fixed frequency control or an adjustable frequency control.The TC1044SCOA\'s on-chip power MOSFETs with reverse current protection provide high efficiency and low power dissipation. The device also contains a voltage comparator for monitoring output voltage and a programmable current limit for providing over current protection.
