TC1073-3.6VCH713 Application Field and Working Principle

TC1073-3.6VCH713 is a linear voltage regulator widely used in the field of power management integrated circuits (PMIC). It is an adjustable positive voltage regulator that is designed to provide an adjustable output from 0.8V to 36V with an input voltage range of 2.5V to 44V.

This voltage regulator features an output current of up to 800mA, thermal shutdown protection with automatic recovery, auto-restart, current-limit protection with automatic recovery, noise reduction circuitry, over-temperature protection and a wide input voltage range. It provides a high power efficiency (up to 94%) and is pin-compatible with the LM350, LM7806 and LM2788 voltage regulators.

The TC1073-3.6VCH713 regulates the output voltage by using an internal voltage reference. It has two internal feedback resistors which can be used to adjust the output voltage. The output voltage can be adjusted over a wide range by simply turning the two resistors. The output voltage is measured at the feedback pins and then compared with the internal voltage reference.
