Working Principle

TC1223-4.0VCTTR is composed of a feedback loop and an error amplifier. The error amplifier is able to vary its output voltage in response to different input and output voltages. When the input voltage is above the desired output voltage, the error amplifier’s output voltage increases, driving the voltage-regulating element, which is usually a series MOS transistor. A voltage divider is typically utilized on the output of the regulator to sense the output voltage and to provide feedback to the error amplifier. The feedback loop ensures the output voltage stays within a small range, regardless of load current and input voltage.

The TC1223-4.0VCTTR is designed to regulate its output voltage very precisely and has an output accuracy of ±1%. It is able to deliver up to 2A continuous current of output power and has a wide operating temperature range of -40℃ to 125℃. The device offers protection against current overload and short circuit, and when the device is overloaded, the output voltage will fold back to provide reliable protection.
