The TC1301B-DPAVMF is composed of two main components - an active (power) stage and a control stage. The active stage consists of a set of power transistors which are connected to form a voltage divider circuit. This circuit delivers output voltage (VOUT) according to the ratio of the resistance values. The control stage consists of a voltage reference (Vref) and a voltage comparison circuit. The voltage comparison circuit compares VIN and Vref and produces an error signal (ERR) which is amplified and sent to the output stages.The active stage\'s power transistors regulate VOUT. Since the power transistors switch at a frequency of about 400 kHz, the resulting fluctuation in voltage is very small, and the output voltage is very close to the selected VOUT value.
