TCAN332D is an industrial grade transceiver developed by Texas Instruments. It offers drivers, receivers, transceivers and clock generators with improved robustness, durability, flexibility and low power consumption. The integrated tri-state feature allows designers to achieve high performance with very low power consumption in industrial communication networks. The transceiver offers many features, including galvanic isolation, integrated termination resistors, up to 3.3V user-specified power supply and more.

The TCAN332D is a dual media transceiver, providing both CAN and CAN FD. It supports CAN 2.0 and CAN FD operation up to 5.0 Mbps, and includes integrated data rate detection, which allows the application to automatically select the data rate based on the received data. The transceiver also features error detection, a linear low power shut-down mode, and a programmable sleep mode, which reduces power consumption. On the other hand, automatic bit-rate detection is also present, allowing the transceiver to automatically detect the bit rate of an incoming message.

The TCAN332D driver is designed to interface with a microcontroller, FPGA, or similar device, providing an electrical signaling interface between two physical interfaces, such as a CAN and/or a controller.
