The TVS - diode family is LED based and consists of a single-turn diode connected in series to a metal-oxide varistor. The TCLAMP3302N.TCT TVS diode is a high-end TVS diode which offers superior protection against transient overvoltages. The outer N - P junction provides a short circuit path during the over-voltage. The current conducted by the MOV is dissipated in the outer N - P junction’s junction, thereby protecting the sensitive circuit from damage. The MOV also provides protection against under-voltages to help protect the circuit from potential damage due to potentials too low for proper circuit operation.
The TCLAMP3302N.TCT is designed to provide additional protection against high voltage transients. It has an extremely low on-state voltage to ensure minimal disruption to normal circuits, as well as an extremely high power dissipation capability for greater protection.
