TCR2LE12,LM is a linear voltage regulator specifically designed for smart card Readers (CT) applications. The TCR2LE12,LM is a high efficiency, linear voltage regulator for smart card readers. It is capable of providing up to 3A of output current, with a minimum input voltage of 4V and a maximum output voltage of 5.5V. The TCR2LE12,LM is designed to be used in smart card readers, as it offers a wide range of either direct DC or battery-based power supplies. The high efficiency of the TCR2LE12,LM is achieved using a combination of low inefficiencies and innovative high-frequency PFM control. It supports a variety of adaptable power supply designs, and its fast-transient response makes it ideal for high speed applications. The TCR2LE12,LM offers very low quiescent current and standby current, allowing for operation with small, efficient power supplies. Its low dropout (LDO) regulator design has two independent input sources, allowing for either mode of supply operation. Its standby/active modes are compatible with low-power, low-voltage supply voltages, extending battery life in mobile products. The fast-transient response of the TCR2LE12,LM enables it to maintain a precise output voltage over a wide supply range, regardless of changing current demands. It features a low offset voltage and features low output noise and ripple. The circuit is digitally controllable by a DSP or a microcontroller to enable a variety of functions, including enable/disable, external mode selection, standby and sleep modes. The TCR2LE12,LM is designed to be used in smart card readers, portable payment terminals, mobile phones, wireless headsets, personal digital assistants, and other applications which require precise output regulation. As it meets the IEC 60950, UL60950, EN60950, and FCC Part 15 safety standards, it is ideal for use in a wide range of commercial and industrial applications. The TCR2LE12,LM is a linear voltage regulator designed specifically for smart card Readers (CT) applications, providing precise output voltage over a wide supply range and fast transient response. It features low quiescent and standby current levels; low ripple and noise; and is digitally controllable for enabling/disabling and selection of external mode. The device is suitable for a variety of commercial and industrial applications, due to its compliance with safety standards.
