TCR5AM12, LF application field and working principle
Introduction: TCR5AM12, LF is a type of low dropout, low noise, single-channel linear voltage regulator integrated circuit, designed by Texas Instruments. Working principle:
The linear voltage regulator is a simple and easy to use voltage regulator integrated circuit. It takes the input voltage from a power source, like a battery and regulates it by maintaining a constant output voltage. This is accomplished by monitoring the input voltage and controlling the output voltage using the onboard comparator. The current then flows through the resistor network and goes to the voltage regulator circuit. This circuit is usually connected to the same voltage source and acts like a current sink by diverting some of the current when the input voltage exceeds the set point.
The TCR5AM12, LF linear voltage regulator features a very low quiescent current and can maintain a very stable output voltage over a wide temperature range. It includes an Error Amplifier that amplifies any difference between the output and reference voltage.
