The TDA9886TS/V4,112 is a highly integrated flexible video signal processor that allows analog and digital video signals to be processed in the same device. It operates on a single 5 Vdc supply and requires no external components for any of the operating modes. At the heart of the TDA9886TS/V4,112 is the TDA9886 single input RVBS video signal processor. It has the following features:

• Line interleaver and video amplifying circuit
• Timer-based 1- or 2-field deinterlacing
• Flexible line, frame and block size selection

The TDA9886TS/V4,112 also supports 4:2:2 digital video interface and up to 256x oversampling for improved digital TV performance. The device provides an optimized digital signal path that includes a digital sync separator, digital video decoder and digital filters. It also includes a TV-standard timing generator and chromaticity processor and high-quality, low-power digital video detec- turner and noise reduction algorithms for clear and consistent images. The device supports both interlaced and progressive scan video formats.

In addition to providing video signal processing, the TDA9886TS/V4,112 can be used as a Digital Audio Processor. It has a 4-input, 2-output selector that handles multiple audio streams and a built-in 8-Channel Echo Cancellation with 6dB of gain and programmable coefficients. The device is also capable of adjusting the sound dynamic range, enhancing the sound field and providing audio level control.
