It is designed with a high power density and has a low-profile form-factor.The TDR 2-1213WISM is a non-isolated, step-down DC to DC converter that provides precise conversion of input voltage to an adjustable output. It features a wide input range of 4.5 to 18V, and an adjustable output range of 0.8 to 15V. It is rated at 30A of continuous current with a peak current of 40A and has a 1.2mΩ maximum switch resistance.The TDR 2-1213WISM operates in PFM (pulse frequency modulation) mode and is designed with a high-speed MOSFETs and flyback transformer for accurate transient performance. To ensure a stable output voltage, the device features advanced internal circuit protection such as over-voltage, over-temperature and short-circuit protection. In addition, it also has an under-voltage lockout protection that keeps the converter from starting up in an unexpected low input voltage condition.The TDR 2-1213WISM is the ideal DC to DC converter for applications requiring high efficiency, high power density and long lifetime. It is ideal for applications such as Industrial Control, High-End Computers, Automotive Solutions, Medical Devices, Networking and Telecommunications solutions, Telematics Systems, and Battery-powered Applications.The working principle of the TDR 2-1213WISM is based on its advanced flyback topology. The input voltage is converted to a high frequency pulse-width-modulated (PWM) signal, which is then regulated to produce the desired output voltage.The PWM signal is then applied to the primary winding of the flyback transformer. The transformer isolates the output from the input and stores the high frequency energy. This stored energy is then discharged from the transformer into the load circuit. The converter automatically adjusts its output voltage to maintain a constant output voltage level, regardless of the input voltage.The TDR 2-1213WISM is an ultra-compact and highly efficient DC to DC converter that offers reliable performance in a wide range of applications.
