Working Principle
TE0710-02-35-2IF is based on the FPGA technology from Infineon. FPGA is a field programmable gate array that allows us to customize designs and apply them to specific applications. It uses programmable hardware interconnected blocks, such as Logic Cells, Arithmetic-Logic Unit, Random Access Memory (RAM), Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) and DSP blocks, to meet customized emergent requirements.1. Logic Cell
The logic cell is a basic element that implements Boolean functions. It consists of two four-input multiplexers, a Flip-Flop and Logic provided by programmable interconnects to connect logic cells and design logic functions.2. Arithmetic-Logic Unit
The Arithmetic and Logic Unit (ALU) is a fundamental computing block, which can perform arithmetic operations such as add, subtract, multiple and divide operations. It also allows to performing logic operations such as and/or/not operations.3. Random Access Memory (RAM)
The RAM is used to store data and can be read, written and modified in random access. It works as data storage, compared to the ROM which is used to store programs.4. Phase-Locked-Loop (PLL)
The PLL, also known as a phase synchronizer, is a circuit used to generate an output frequency for a given input. It works in two modes that are frequency synthesis and frequency tracking, producing an output signal that is shifted in phase or frequency from an input signal.5. DSP Blocks
