THS4150EVM is an evaluation board from Texas Instruments (TI) which offers a powerful way to evaluate THS4150 high voltage differential amplifier. Operating from a single +24V supply up to ±18V, this reference amplifier provides voltage gain and output current greater than 20V/V and 9mA, respectively, making it suitable for many high voltage, high power applications such as communications and industrial processing, as well as medical imaging.The THS4150EVM evaluation board contains two separate boards, a signal board and a power supply board. The signal portion of the board includes the THS4150 amplifier, together with its associated compensation, as well as a variety of test points and connectors to enable accurate measurement and performance evaluation of the THS4150 amplifier. The board can operate at frequencies up to 1MHz, making it suitable for a variety of signals. An on-board differential input and output voltage divider allows operation up to ±18V. The board also contains an output short circuit protection feature that will shut down the output when a short is detected on the output, thus protecting the amplifier from damage.The power supply portion of the board includes a voltage regulator, filter capacitors and a high-powered switching mode power supply, capable of supplying up to 500mA of current, making it suitable for high power applications. The board also includes an on-board +5V supply, which can be used to power small auxiliary devices or sensors.The THS4150EVM evaluation board enables users to quickly and accurately evaluate the performance of the THS4150 amplifier. The board provides direct access to all the amplifier’s pins and analog functionality, allowing users to evaluate the performance of the amplifier under a variety of conditions.
