The THS4151EVM evaluation module (EVM) is an important tool for development of high-performance and low-power op-amp solutions. Working Principle

The THS4151EVM is based on an ultra-low-power and high-performance current feedback amplifier architecture. This amplifier architecture is designed to provide high gains while holding a low noise figure. The amplifier is fully differential and has an input bias current of less than 30pA, enabling it to be used with very low-power and low-noise transistorsThe gain and bandwidth of the amplifier are determined by the internal feedback network, which is composed of three resistors and two capacitors. The amplifier’s current flow is then regulated by a dialing control, allowing the user to adjust the gain and frequency response of the amplifier. The output stage of the amplifier is a unity gain non-inverting follower allowing for a maximum gain of 1V/V.

The THS4151EVM also features an integrated submicron low-noise MOSFET resistor ensuring low-noise and low-distortion operation. The integrated MOSFET resistor allows for a uniform and consistent low-noise output gain over the entire supply range.

The THS4151EVM is designed to easily be implemented into a system and is readily available in ready-to-use evals boards. The boards features an integrated test point, allowing for easy and rapid testing and debugging. Additionally, the evals board is powered by an external voltage source (1.8V to 3.3V) and can be used with both single supply (1.8V to 3.3V) and dual voltage (more than 3.3V) configurations.
