The THS7347EVM is an evaluation and demonstration board and kit used to drive high-speed data links such as DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.0, and MIPI DSI 2.0. The evaluation board of the THS7347EVM supports adjustable output common-mode voltage, adjustable pre-emphasis, and adjustable output swing current for each transmitter lane. These sources are VCCO, VDD, RxIN, AVDD, and VPP. VCCO is the input signall generated by the main board and fed to the four transmitter lanes on the board. VDD is the regulated power supply voltage and is used to power the transmitter lane driver ICs to drive the data on these lanes. RxIN is the input signal from the receiver chip that receives the data from the data link. AVDD is the regulated power supply voltage which is used to power the receiver chip in order to accurately detect the incoming data. Lastly, VPP is the power supply voltage used to drive the output stage of the THS7347EVM board.Once the signal sources are connected to the various lanes on the board, the signals are then amplified by the high performance op-amps on the board. This amplifies the signals to a level suitable for the data link. From there the signals are then sent to the data link for transmission.Finally, the outputs of the data link are received back by the receiver chip to be amplified by the op-amps. This removes any distortions caused by the data link and restores the signal to its initial level.
