Working Principle

The TLC2201AMD op amp is an instrumentation amplifier with a single-supply operation, which increases its application possibilities. It follows the common instrumentation amplifier circuit configuration with a three-stage differential amplifier composed of two input amplifiers and a main output amplifier. The input amplifiers amplify the differential input signal with a gain set by a single resistor and the main amplifier amplifies the gain set by a pair of resistors. The gain of the overall circuit is determined by the resistor values which can be precisely controlled. The TLC2201AMD is a low noise op amp which is critically important for sensor interface applications.
