The TLC2262IP is a rail-to-rail, low-power operational amplifier specifically designed for use in instrumentation applications. It is suitable for a broad range of applications including data acquisition systems, instrumentation amplifiers, active filters, and signal conditioners. This device uses a low-power CMOS process to provide dual low-power and rail-to-rail input/output operation along with low offset voltage, low bias current, and very low offset drift.

Working Principle

The TLC2262IP is an instrumentation-grade operational amplifier that uses a rail-to-rail input/output performance to ensure a wide input and output range. It uses a low-power CMOS process to provide low offset voltage, low drift, low bias current, and very low noise. The TLC2262IP also has a “shut down” mode which can reduce power consumption by up to 10 times while maintaining a wide input voltage range. The TLC2262IP operates on dual 5V or 15V supplies and has a minimum offset voltage of 150mV. The TLC2262IP has two main sections, the input stage and the output stage. The input stage comprises a pair of low power CMOS input buffers coupled together. This buffered input stage feeds the differential amplifier with very low offset voltage, low drift and extremely low noise. The output stage also has low power CMOS buffers connected to it, allowing the device to swing from rail to rail without damping or overshoot.The TLC2262IP has a high common-mode rejection (CMR) ratio which ensures excellent signal fidelity in noisy environments such as found in medical, audio, or process control applications. The device also has a low input bias current and low output source/sink current, ideal for low current applications such as patient monitoring or data acquisition. The TLC2262IP is a robust, low-power, rail-to-rail, low-offset, low-bias current, instrumentation amplifier, ideal for a wide range of precision applications.
